Whether you're choosing a more traditional bridal gown or something more contemporary, finish off your “look” with some fabulous accessories and jewellery.  Don't forget a garter (saucy!), a sash perhaps and of course a well chosen tiara is a stunning option. And what about pearls – a lovely way to reflect light on to your face.

None of these items need to be expensive, of course.  Choose your wedding outfit first, followed by your accessories and it's well worth exploring several options before you make your final decision.  Some tips:

  • Less is more – don't overdo it
  • Do give everything a bit of a trial run at home to make sure that clasps are easy to fix and undo, that there are no sharp edges and that your tiara isn't too tight, for example.
  • Although all jewellery in this country is nickel compliant, wearing the piece a few times will be a good way of checking that your ears won't get sore or your skin turn green!
