Styled Shoot: Follow the Call of the Disco Ball

As much as I am a lover of Pampas grass and macrame, I felt it was time to do something a little different in a Tipi - and that's where this styled shoot was born.

The Orchard at Munsley is a gorgeous setting for a Tipi, with it's rolling orchards, lovely little church and of course wonderful owner Jayne who was absolutely up for a mad photo shoot.

I first went to the team at Etiquette Events and explained to them the idea of an 'epic party' where glitter and love collides - and as you can see from the images, they absolutely smashed the brief. Together with Every Event Hire, the flower walls were built, disco balls hung and smoke machine significantly played with.

Between myself and Jayne we managed to source a bunch of awesome suppliers from Genevieve Turley who is a fantastic Makeup Artist and knows her way around a glitter face, to, Vics Vegan Bakes, a fantastic cake maker who did not hold back with the disco theme at all.

The couple that we used on the day are NOT models, and that was something that was quite important to me. Being able to use a real couple is special because the facial expressions are real and the look of love is not hard to create. Despite the cold and the late night shoot, they were amazing from start to finish.

I wish I could write this blog even longer to shout-out every single supplier! They all worked extremely hard all day and brought so much fun and energy to this shoot. Hopefully it inspires other couples to find a theme that suits them and not the venue.
