Each month we delve deeper into subjects to find out more and bring you some useful snippets, advice and golden nuggets of information from our trusted Whitewed Professionals!

Nothing stays still in the Wedding industry. New trends, pantone colours and 'must-haves' arrive on the market regularly, but luckily here at Whitewed we also have suppliers that are hot on it too. Not only are they super fab at keeping up with the latest trends and styles, but are also leading the way in creating new innovative offerings for their lovely couples searching for something new and unique to wow them and their guests.

We are very proud at Whitewed to have several suppliers on the Directory that pride themselves in offering new to market products. This month we introduce you to The Floral Studio, a florist with an eye for beauty and detail who have created exciting new styles to add the perfect backdrops to your wedding day, and, Copper and Blossom, a photographer with a new package for her clients that might just be the perfect solution to their gift list dilemma!

The Floral Studio is headed up by award winning florist, Nicole Gamlin. Nicole is a highly experienced florist with a natural understanding for design, and a passion for creating floral displays that will wow her clients and compliment their wedding in every detail. We asked Nicole what she'll be offering couples for 2019 that they won't have seen until now... We think her latest floral designs are simply amazing and a real centre piece to any wedding day, and so beautifully captured by fellow Whitewed member, Barefoot Photography at our recent Great Western Wedding Show at STEAM. Here's what Nicole had to say when we asked her a little more on her new products...

"We have been inspired by all things organic lately and decided to create two new products of our favourite flower ideas for making your weddings bloom!"

The Floral Chandelier

Hanging or suspended floral arrangements in barns, marquees and tipi’s are in fashion and a must have for your wedding! We rent our free standing chandeliers, adding mixed blooms and lots of greenery, working with your venue to create a luxuriant wedding feel.

Chandelier All Green Arrangements

Using mostly greens such as ferns for floral arrangements will not only dress up your table but make it look ultra modern and chic. Including succulents as part of your décor is also another wonderful green addition to a table (and we think adding fairy lights creates the perfect ambience!)

Floral Moongate Backdrops

A moongate backdrop of ethereal foliage and cascading flowers for your ceremony space would look absolutely divine in photographs! Creating a perfect backdrop behind your top table!

For many years couples have asked us to dress their chosen Church or Venue, with something WOW!. Imagine the anticipation of walking down the aisle and seeing a beautiful Moongate. We love the idea of bringing nature indoors especially for couples that share a love for a more organic look. What better way to celebrate than by incorporating some lush foliage and your chosen floral blooms along the aisle!

A Moongate creates a WOW... behind your top table! Perfect for photographs.

You now know the latest style to hit the floral market, and if you're anything like us, you'll be in love with the images!

Next up, we bring you talented photographer Kate of Cooper & Blossom. Kate works exceptionally hard to capture those candid moments that are gone all too quickly, to document every aspect of your special day and to provide you with beautiful images befitting of such an occasion

We asked Kate what her couples can expect 'new' for 2019 and why it could be just the package for brides and grooms searching for a combination of exquisite images after their wedding, and a payment scheme that allows your guests to feel a part of providing you with the memories that you'll keep for a lifetime.

Here's what Kate had to say when we quizzed her...

What are you offering new to couples?

New for this year, I have launched my “Gifted Memories” Wedding Photography Package.

Why is it different to what’s already on the market?

This package has been created to allow couples the option to ask their guests to contribute towards their wedding photography costs. Many modern-day couples already live together and so the days of the traditional “gift list” are long gone. Couples are already beginning to look for alternative ideas such as requesting contributions towards their honeymoon. However, I believe that this package is the first of its kind relating to wedding photography.

Although photographers may offer the option to purchase gift vouchers that can be used to purchase prints and other photo gifts following the wedding, this is the first time that couples can opt to receive contributions which will directly go towards their photography package costs.

Why should couples want it?

Weddings are expensive and it is becoming more and more common-place that couples are saving up to pay for the entire wedding themselves. By opting for the Gifted Memories package, couples will have direct control over what photography package they receive (i.e. the length of coverage and any extras such as photo books or albums) and they simply direct their guests back to the website should they wish to make a contribution. Whats more, on their wedding day, couples will receive a large signed photo frame containing messages of congratulations from all of the guests that have contributed towards their photographic memories.

Where did the idea come from?

I often suggest to my couples that they can wait until after their wedding before deciding to add a photo book or canvas to their wedding package. I realise that it can be an added expense that they just don’t have the money for at the time of booking. I have also found that for many of my weddings, the parents of the happy couple contribute a lump sum towards their wedding photography costs, either by funding the deposit or paying for the whole photography package as their gift. I realised that contributing towards the couples everlasting memories may be something that many of their close family and friends would like to do if they had the option. That idea evolved into this package which would allow them to do so.

What else should our couples know ....

This package generated a lot of interest when it was launched at the Whitewed STEAM Wedding Show at the start of January. In fact, one couple has already booked this package for their wedding later in the year.
