Fay's Fairy Cakes: how the wedding cupcake baking began

Watching the ‘Great British Bake Off’ in the Summer of 2013 gave me the inspiration to start baking, and so my journey began!

After a year of baking and giving hundreds of cupcakes away and getting fantastic honest feedback I decided to start my own business. I had to think for the perfect name, it was quite easy really - my name Fay which means fairy, so in November 2014 it was the beginning of ‘Fay's Fairy Cakes’!

I can customise your wedding or engagement cupcakes with all sorts of toppings and decorations. So, if you're looking beyond the traditional wedding sprinkles I can offer you the modern-day alternative to a traditional wedding cake with a small top tier to cut on the day.

All my cake toppers are handmade by myself and I specialise in beautiful edible lace from butterflies to feathers and can colour these too.

If you are having a destination wedding on a beach and would like to carry on the theme at your party home, then take a look at my shells cake & cupcakes, a stunning cake covered with individual hand made shells then hand painted with edible satin, Cupcakes are then added to create the perfect picture for you on your wedding day or party.

Fay's Fairy Cakes has beautiful stands to display the top tiers and cupcakes on, From a rustic woodland stand to a tower which can be a couple of tiers to eleven tiers, also my Cinderella's carriage. Perfect for a Disney wedding or just because you would like that Fairy-tale day. My carriage can double up as a candy cart too with basket's either end for jars for you to fill.
