Autumnal Styled Shoot at Cotswold Venue, Stratton House.

Autumn is such a beautiful time of year and i wanted to showcase Autumn tones from the flowers to the Make Up, the rich reds and golden hues. Styled photo shoots are great fun, you get to bring your ideas to life, see what works and what doesn't and work with other wedding suppliers.

As well as being a Make Up Artist, I am also a professional photographer working as a duo with my Dad for our business Capture Every Moment, so of course My Dad was the photographer of choice for the styled shoot! It's great working with him as we obviously work really well together and he understands exactly what I want to gain from a photo shoot.

We have so many wedding venues here in the Cotswolds and I really wanted to showcase a local wedding Venue. I decided on Stratton House because they have recently had a beautiful refurbishment of the venue and it looks stunning. Capture Every Moment Photography are recommended suppliers at Stratton House, so it was an easy choice!

The inspiration started with the Make Up which I wanted to use a rich red toned lipstick with soft gold eye make up for our model Melissa. For our second model Zoe, I wanted a more classic bridal make up look so l used soft pink eye make up with a touch of blush. To finish her look, I used a gorgeous pink toned lipstick from Bare Minerals.

Vik's Hairdressing was the fabulous hair stylist on the day and we spoke many times prior to the shoot about ideas and the finished look I wanted to create. I wanted a loose half up hair style for Zoe, keeping in with our "Classic Bridal look" and a chunky plait for Melissa. Viki didn't disappoint - both Zoe and Melissa's hair was simple gorgeous! Viki finished the look with beautiful hair accessories from Posy & Pearl.

Rosella Wedding Gowns of Cirencester provided two gorgeous dresses for the shoot and Melissa and Zoe looked absolutely stunning in the dresses.

Fi from Corky and Prince provided three bouquets which were simply gorgeous! I gave Fi a simple brief of 'Autumn colours and foliage' - and wow didn't she deliver on that! Each bouquet very different and filled with Autumnal colours.

The photo shoot was great fun and our models were fantastic to work with. We showcased not only the make up, hair , flowers and dresses but also the venue of Stratton House and its grounds too.

We all know British weather can be very unpredictable and this day was no exception! It rained on and off (mainly on!) throughout the shoot... but it goes to show that no matter the weather, you can still have a fabulous selection of photos from your wedding with the right photographer and team in place!
