This Real Wedding has been shared by the very lovely Ana Kelly, Celebrant of Wiltshire.
Read on to hear more of Charlotte & Peter's Cotswold wedding day at the glorious Temple Guiting Manor near Cheltenham...
From first meeting this wonderful couple, over a coffee in a café, we just clicked, and I was totally honoured when this funny, joyful pair chose me as Celebrant for their personal wedding service! Charlotte and Peter's September 2019 Cotswold wedding was not fully organised until fairly late in the day - a couple of months' ahead - but everything just seemed 'to be' and fitted beautifully into place.
I was blown away by Temple Guiting Manor - what a terrific place! The manor house is a small, idyllic space built in Cotswold stone, with the most awesome gardens and lots of space for a marquee. It also houses the gorgeous gypsy caravan style accommodation and opens up onto fields. September was full of amazing colours, so wonderfully captured here by Ian Baker Photography. Ian and the couple have been so kind in allowing me to use any of the fantastic photos - thank you!
The photos speak for themselves. I love the shot of the kiss and of the exchange of personalised vows - which had the guests laughing and dabbing tears away in equal measure. As you can see, I dive out of the way, so close ups for these special shots don't have my face in the middle! The sun shone, the laughter was plenty, the words meaningful, and the Celebrant colour coded!
Charlotte wrote to me after, and her words were heartfelt: 'We really had the most special day, we had lots of comments about how lovely the service was and how nice it was to hear such personal vows, so thank you for all your help and support. I also had comments about how well coordinated your outfit was so good planning there!'
Roll on more wonderful couples and bookings like this in 2020. My diary is filling up!
What a lucky day we really did have with the weather! The day before and the day after rained, but not on the day of the wedding. The late summer colours and light are totally glorious in this wonderful shot.
As Charlotte says in her words to me, everybody - including the happy couple - just LOVED the personalised vows.
I stepped aside while they read their beautiful words to each other, which I had printed for each of them on gilt-edged card. A mixture of love and fun for sure! As usual, I ensured that the ceremony was seamless by helping the photographer Ian and his second photographer set up a guest confetti tunnel. I love the happy confetti shot below!
It really was a wonderful wedding for a perfect couple!
