We first met Charmian and Dean last summer; they were planning a wedding in Mexico and looking for a venue to hold a reception for their friends at home. We knew instantly that it was going to be great fun planning the perfect day for them.
From the very start they had a clear vision of the atmosphere they wanted to create, and we worked together to achieve an ‘on the beach’ theme to link in with the setting of their wedding that would take place earlier in the month in Mexico.
Working with Whitewed suppliers, Venues Covered and The Event Dresser, the room was dressed with a lit backdrop, ceiling drapes and chair covers with sea blue ruffle sashes; then Charmian’s parents added their finishing touches by making the curtains look like a Caribbean sky with blue material, and installing palm trees, shells and parrots – not forgetting the coconut air fresheners which completed the Caribbean atmosphere.
On the day of the reception Charmian and Dean arrived early for a preview of the beach theme Wrag Barn makeover and there were a few tears of joy as the months of planning and dreaming had exceeded their expectations in reality. Their friends and family were full of compliments at how the room was dressed which confirmed that the team had brought their vision to fruition.
Once everyone had arrived the wedding party made their way into the garden from the balcony for yet another surprise; in the stunning gardens below a white carriage of 20 white doves were waiting to be released by Charmian and Dean in celebration of their wedding day. After this delight, the guests returned to the bar as we whisked the bride and groom onto the golf course in a buggy for some special photographs in one of our many picturesque spots located around the course.
All this excitement meant that everyone had worked up quite an appetite and Jay from Eventimate, another Whitewed supplier, announced the arrival of the couple into the room for the party to begin! Speeches were followed by the official cutting of the cake and everyone enjoyed a barbeque followed by cake, either sweet or made of cheese.
Everyone danced the night away to a playlist supplied by Charmian and Dean, the entertainment was provided by Eventimate who also bought along a Selfie station. The most stunning display of photographs from the couples wedding day in Mexico were on display throughout the day for everyone to admire.
The bride and groom with their friends and family certainly know how to party and the photographs and comments received confirm that a great time was had by all
