Avante Garde Styled Shoot at Devizes Town Hall

The photo shoot was held in our beautiful Georgian listed building in Devizes, in the heart of Wiltshire.

Devizes venues wanted to use the historic Town Hall, showcasing local wedding suppliers and supporting local business and trades. The shoot was held in the Assembly Room, the perfect place for a wedding.

Reflecting the regency grandeur of the room, with an Adams style ceiling, magnificent chandeliers and infinity mirrors.

The inspiration is full of warm, rich colours with an almost Avante Garde feel to it. The styling team, led by Karina Scoffield Make-up Artist and Lucinda Brent, Sales and Marketing for Devizes Venues used beautiful, rich and warm Autumnal colours, giving the look a very indulgent and opulent wow factor.

The Autumnal hues and gorgeous floral arrangements were inspired by the historic architecture of the venue. Seasonal and natural elegance to the floral design, with a touch of whimsical romance that tied in, with the graceful dresses and the dramatic silhouettes of the millinery.

The inspired feeling of merging the outdoors with the indoors, using bronzed bracken pampas grass and poppy seed heads - all sourced from the local countryside.

A mix of dried and fresh florals were used to add texture. With tones of deep pinks and vibrant orange, cerise, burgundy and bronzes were chosen to contrast against the serene blue colour of the Town Hall. Using a mix of cappuccino and black baccarat roses, delicate pink and yellow orchids, burgundy ranunculus and chrysanthemums, all mixed with shades of mango. Flowers such as astrantia and wax flower were chosen to add texture and abundance contributing to the signature style of the floral supplier.

By using the stunning harp, the epitome of elegance and grace as one of the focal ideas, colours of the harp blended in with the rich colours, classical but devastatingly beautiful- tied in the look and provided a very wonderful treat for the team.

With dresses supplied by the luxury bridal boutique Willoughby & Wolf, the dresses provided a timeless elegance, handpicked for their distinctive designs, moving away from your typical wedding gown look. Exquisite detailing giving the look a royal, timeless, yet experimental and unorthodox approach to the typical bride.

In keeping with the feel of the wedding concept, moving away from traditional etiquette.

The use of bridal hats to complete some of the looks of the shoot, gave it an extra level of elegance making the looks spring out into the most spectacular finish, giving the overall bridal look an ultra-chic alternative to the veil.
