Here's a gorgeous Autumnal, pumpkin filled real wedding from him...
"I have to say, I had honestly been looking forward to Matthew and Elisa's wedding for some time and couldn't wait to get started!
I first met Matthew and Elisa at a wedding show in Salisbury a year ago, they really liked my work and booked to meet with me for a trial photo shoot at their wedding venue - a rare breeds farm! Initially we sat and had a coffee and an informal chat about their vision for the wedding. The wedding was in October so Matthew and Elisa were going for an Autumn theme - oranges, browns and greens, and pumpkins (lots of them!). They were such a lovely couple and it was really nice to be able to get to know them properly and spend some time getting a clear idea of the day they had planned.
After coffee we then spent 40 minutes walking around the farm and woods, getting a feel for the venue, and taking some engagement style photos as we went. Matthew and Elisa were both very relaxed but were really keen on having great photography at the wedding, and for the photography to be a real lasting moment of their wedding without it taking over the day itself.
I actually decided to visit the farm the day before the wedding to see the ceremony barn - and I was amazed at all the hard work they had put into transforming the venue - I have never seen so many pumpkins!! One thing I wasn't prepared for was that they were so pleased with the images I took at the trial shoot that they had framed the photos and placed them around the room - a lovely thing to do and it worked really well. Overall the venue looked stunning and having been in regular communication with them both leading up to the day I know it was just as they had planned!
The day itself was perfect, although very bright from a photography point of view. The ceremony was held in a barn on the edge of the stunning vineyard, which still had some colour as the leaves hadn't quite dropped. After the ceremony I took a photo of all the 60 guests plus some family photos and we then walked with the bridesmaids to the other side of the vineyard where there is a stunning tree-lined path. With the sun behind them we spent 15 minutes taking some relaxed photos, this is one of the best parts of the day - when the nerves have passed and I'm able to get some romantic and fun photos of the bride and groom.
Matthew and Elisa then had time to greet their guests before the BBQ, speeches and a relaxed evening followed by very enthusiastic dancing! Once the evening guests arrived the evening was finished off with s'mores over the fire - freshly flamed marshmallows!
Matthew and Elisa were delighted with the USB of images they received after the wedding and there are plenty more images on my website blog from their wedding!
An awesome day and I hope you like the images!"
