Herefordshire based Natalie Jolley Photography provides romantic, honest portraiture for your wedding day, and here is a lovely real wedding from her.
"Alexis and Katy brought a little French chic to Herefordshire last Summer when the two were married in a intimate ceremony before returning to Katie's home for the reception.
I spent the whole day with them. Firstly staying with Katy at her home as she got ready, this was a wonderful time as I got to know all the bridesmaids and capture the hustle of the day as it began. Hair and makeup applications, wedding dress reveals, even breakfast!
As the hour of the ceremony approached I made it to the church capturing details and taking Alexis' portraits before the guests arrived.
Throughout the ceremony I stood in place and captured the smiles, the tears of happiness and the formality of the service which included blessings from another ordination.
Katy and Alexis wanted a variety, a mix of the traditional portraits and a casual style and so I made sure to take family groups outside of the church before spending two or three minutes with Alexis and Katy alone before going back to their party.
With a marquee in the garden providing shade from the waves of heat, their family and friends relaxed in the garden, enjoying the fresh cocktails whilst watching the river flow past. Games for the children and soft music and chatter filled the breeze until the wedding breakfast.
At round tables, with the cake in view and DJ and dance floor central place, food was enjoyed and blushes of the groom deepened over the speeches. Every reaction was fun to capture, and still remain some of my favourites. But not so much as the dance floor images from the evening. Lights everywhere spreading colour and smiles with every beat. Even the next door neighbours dogs joined in, and animals at the party is always a good idea!"
