Real Wedding: Becky & Craig at De Vere Tortworth Court, Gloucestershire
We love how Hannah of Hannah Culley's Cakes is always able to work to any brief given, and delivers exception cakes every time! On this particular wedding the Bride and Groom choose not to have a traditional tiered cake, and instead opted for several individual cakes, along with a large quantity of Brownies and i'm sure you'll agree the results are beautiful!
Here's what Hannah had to say about this real wedding...
"What a PERFECT day this was, genuinely perfect... for a September day the weather was just sublime, clear blue skies with not a cloud in sight and beautiful sunshine. I love the De Vere Tortworth Court Hotel, it was my second time doing a wedding cake there and this time the wedding was set in the orangery. The decor was my dream; rose gold sequins, white beads, foliage and roses and a touch of flamingos too!
I loved working with Becky and Craig, the beautiful bride and groom, creating their perfect table of brownies and the 3 separate cakes. They had 80 double chocolate brownies and the cakes were a naked carrot cake topped with frosting and a rose gold wooden topper, a buttercream covered lemon curd cake with meringue kisses and a white fondant covered chocolate orange sponge with copper confetti sprinkles and lustre. The set up was just different and it worked so well on the table, it really spread it out and looked like a delicious treats table. It's so lovely when couples give me ideas that they have in their head and when I went to Craig & Becky for their consultation they were just bouncing off each other with ideas and what they had in mind. It really was a joint effort from them both, brownies weren't in the original idea but an idea that Craig had. I love the idea of a brownie tower and I've got quite a few of them for weddings this year. I do them in a variety of flavours (double chocolate, chocolate orange, white chocolate and chocolate nut) and you can have any amount from 25 to 150 if not more. They are the perfect treat to take home at the end of the evening or to snack on late when a guest is a bit peckish!"
The photo's Hannah posted on Facebook had lots of comments from the guests saying that the brownies were to die for and a lovely comment from the bride herself stated "Thanks Hannah, they look amazing and tasted incredible! Thank you so much for your creations. I was very excited to see them on Saturday! Love Beck & Craig x"
The photographs of Hannah's delicious offering were captured by the Whitewed Approved Libby Clark Photography The Bride and Groom also chose to use Whitewed Approved Lisa Ellis Hair & Make-Up for the beautiful bride and bridesmaids, which Libby managed to photograph whilst Lisa assisted the bride in getting ready.
Hannah loved working at The De Vere, Tortworth Court for its great location just outside Bristol, and the gorgeous surroundings of the modern yet historic hotel.
