"Jordan is a photographer herself, so being picked to photograph the couples Wedding felt even more special. The whole day was based at the beautiful Purton House, a sweet venue with different rooms and with stunning grounds - it was perfect for their intimate day.
The room was so bright and pretty where Jordan and her girls were getting ready, with the wonderfully talented Makeup Artist and hairdresser doing their thing. I was able to capture all sorts of fun photos while prepping for the special day.
I truly love anything personal, capturing details that people have spent so much money or time over, as that's what the day is all about. With a stunning cake table, a slight Harry Potter theme (with handmade wands as favours), it was stunning and so personal but still kept to the beautiful Country garden theme that the venue showcased.
Even better than an in love Bride and Groom, that had been high school sweet hearts, is that they bought the dogs along too. As a fur mum myself, having dogs at the Wedding is so important when they are such a part of the family. Jordan and Shaine had spoken to me about this, and with enough time we could really concentrate on photos with the dogs before they headed back home with a guest. Dogs can be hard to photograph, and in such a busy and some what stressful and exciting situation for them, it's really important there's enough quiet time with just a few people to make sure we can get the shots that are wanted. Many dogs wouldn't appreciate staying the whole day, so having a minder for them, as well as a guest or dog walker being able to take them home or for a walk after the photos, is really important.
The sun shone all day, with so much laughing and joyful cheer. The homemade bar was buzzing and everyone was soaking up the sun in the beautiful gardens.
Having the time to take the Bride and Groom out twice through the day is something I love about Summer Weddings, and having a couple know how important it is to schedule time with the photographer is something I love as the couple portraits are always the most important to me. We managed to also get out with the Bridesmaids to get some gorgeous Bride Tribe photos, as well as using colour smoke bombs to add something fun and different to the day- which really summed this couple up.
My day ended just after the first dance, with friends dancing and congratulating and Jordan & Shaine having the best night with so many loved ones."
What a intimate and personal wedding that Stephanie has been able to capture so perfectly.
