Real Wedding: Olivia & Elliot in the gardens of an old Cotswold Mill House near Cirencester

This real wedding has been sent in by the talented Gloucestershire based florist Fi of Corky and Prince, and is a stunning example of a florist who's wedding flowers are every bit as special and unique as each couples big day.

This pair of soulmates tied the knot in a beautiful country church followed by a marque reception in the gardens of an old Cotswold mill house near Cirencester. The London-based couple wanted a bohemian, organic look with a colour palette of burgundy and blush pink but didn't know much about flowers so Fi, the florist at Corky and Prince had great fun working with them to design the floral arrangements for their July wedding day.

The village church for the ceremony was large so Fi created a big free-standing pedestal arrangement next to where Olivia and Elliot made their vows, and a smaller one at the entrance to the vestry to welcome guests as they arrived. A garland of dried hops was hung over the old wooden door and mini bouquets tied to the church path gates. To fragrance the aisle, dried lavender petals were scattered on the floor. The church porch at St. Mary's is a real feature so a long, low arrangement in an alcove was created which we later transported to the reception marquee where it provided a lovely backdrop to the couple's stunning chocolate mousse wedding cake - Yum!

Fi choose a selection of seasonal focal flowers to create a lush, romantic look with soft blush 'Avalanche' roses, dark burgundy 'Karma Choc' dahlias, astrantia 'Moulin Rouge' and astilbe 'Paul Gaarde'. Texture was added to the church and reception floral decorations with giant allium seed heads and garlands of grey-green hops.

For the reception, Fi styled the white table linens with fresh rosemary and lavender sprigs which made the marquee smell amazing. The couple had a bar set up in the corner of the marquee complete with their own brew of ale so to decorate this area, Corky and Prince wrapped bicycle-wheels in greenery for the cycling-mad groom.

Fi said 'It was a great wedding to be part of as the sun shone all day and it was full of laughter and love.'

This Real Wedding showcases perfectly just how Fi's love of the natural world can translate into stunning floral designs that are perfect for the couples desired colours, style and requests for their wedding day.
