Real Wedding: Sarah & Joe at Stanton St Quintin

Real Wedding: Sarah & Joe at a private marquee in Stanton St Quintin

The bride and groom Sarah and Joe got married at St Margaret’s Church in Yatton Keynell followed by a reception in a marquee in the gardens of the family home in Stanton St Quintin.

Hannah said “It was probably one of the most authentic Weddings I’ve ever seen, you could tell that it was lovingly thought of with a beautiful vintage, rustic theme which of course tied in perfectly with Sarah and Joe’s Wedding cake which was a delicious Nutella velvet, carrot, lemon curd and Raspberry & White chocolate 4 tier semi-naked creation! Naked cakes are becoming increasingly popular so each one is very unique, I was given a few pictures for inspiration and a list of flowers to use and I was away! I just love doing Naked wedding cakes, whilst they are hard to work with especially on a hot summer’s day they are worth it and when done right they are perfect. I think it’s really important to not over do it with flowers but get just the right amount for it to really stand out and with this one I think it was just right… placed on a little fold out table with a gorgeous vintage lace table cloth it looked perfect amongst blush pink florals, hessian and rustic wood signs…"

"As soon as I delivered it (all part of the service with Hannah Culley’s Cakes) I knew it was going to be a beautiful day… fire pits at the ready and hay bale benches, a fully stocked bar and a dance floor - what more could you need! used hydrangeas, rosebuds, mentha roses, gypsophila, ivy and pink snowberries to create the prettiest floral woodland look.

I even spotted a glance of the bride and her party getting ready in full swing with a glass of prosecco in their hand - all smiles and laughter! I remember thinking to myself as I walked away over the moon with my creation “this is why I love my job” because you are a small part of what is and was the happiest day of Sarah and Joe’s lives!”

We just love the colours used and the flowers really set off the cake. Hannah cleary has an amazing eye for detail and a great taste for flavours-Nutella velvet?? Yes please!

The newlyweds were clearly chuffed to bits and gave Hannah this glowing testimonial “Hannah did the cake for our wedding and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen (and eaten). I would recommend her to anyone!! She's helpful, reliable and always more than happy to help. I can't honestly say I think I'll be getting cakes from Hannah for many years to come! Thank you Hannah for doing such a wonderful job you absolute superstar!”
