Real Wedding: Simona & Danny at Westonbirt House
Nick Adams is a fab wedding photographer with an unobtrusive manner who'll capture all those special moments from your wedding day. Nick says about this wedding...
"After a morning spent shooting some relaxed natural shots of the bridal party getting ready at home, we headed to the church at Sutton Benger for a beautiful service with readings from family members in both English and Slovakian. From here the bride and groom were whisked off in a gleaming Imperial Landaulet car provided by Function Cars. After a quick shoot outside with the car and traditional Slovakian plate smashing ceremony, where the couple gather the smashed pieces symbolising cooperation and working together as a couple.
Heading inside, we checked out the opulent décor of the house and the guests enjoyed canapes and drinks before dipping back outside for some quick group shots with the grand exterior of the house as an incredible backdrop.
After a hearty meal and a cheeky drop of some excellent red, a few cringes and tears during the speeches, I stole the couple for a private portrait session using both the interior of the house and the gorgeous grounds. I’d been looking forward to this since our pre-wedding shoot a month or two earlier. The light inside the house was a photographers dream, paired with grand décor and furniture. Outside there were tonnes of little nooks and crannies with amazing backdrops and architecture to compliment Simona’s elegant dress and Danny’s coat and tails.
With the formal shots done, we headed back in for a boogie and some extremely potent Slovakian gin, which had clearly gotten the better of a few of the guests! And with that, a day’s work was done for me and I left the guests to carry on partying well into the night!"
