Styled Shoot at Drakestone House

Styled Shoot at Drakestone House

We love a styled shoot here at Whitewed, and even better when our lovely Whitewed members team up. Here's what Tamsin from Bespoke Signs and Stationery by Tamsin Yates had to say about this gorgeous shoot...

"Back in April we were invited to collaborate on a styled shoot, organised by the very talented Alicia at Red Maple Photography. The shoot was held at Drakestone House near Stinchcombe in Gloucestershire, which has breathtaking countryside views and they've also just become an Approved Whitewed Venue!

The theme was classic English elegance with a wild, country twist and a colour scheme of soft pale pastels, with pops of deeper pinks. Jules at Wild & Co Flowers created the most inspiring moodboard and used seasonal spring flowers including roses, peonies, sweet peas, jasmine, foxgloves, lilacs and clematis. We designed a set of stationery to match which included a modern menu printed on thick silk card stock with a mixture of watercolour floral motifs in shades of pinks and purples placed in a symmetrical pattern around the border of the menu text. We kept it simple with the place cards and went for an elegant slim design with a modern calligraphy style font for the guest names and tied around a piece of 100% silk habotai ribbon which is hand-dyed using plant dyes.

If you want to see more of the venue they are hosting an inspiration day on Sunday 29th July from 11am to 3pm. Myself, Alicia and a few other fantastic suppliers will also be there!
