Capture Every Moment are a talented Father and Daughter duo of wedding photographers based in Cirencester, and they have teamed up with the equally talented Wendy House Flowers, Willoughby & Wolf and Make Up by Carissa to bring you this beautiful styled shoot set in the heart of the lavender fields at Snowshill! Read on, it's a beauty!
Growing up and living in the Cotswolds means I forever see the fields changing from season to season, especially crop fields. We have taken many a picture in a beautiful barley or wheat field but the Cotswolds are lucky enough to have the gorgeous tone of purple fields which of course are the Lavender Fields in Snowshill. I wanted to showcase the wonderful countryside and how certain colours and tones can complement each other. After a little chat with Louise from Wendy House Flowers late one Sunday evening it was decided we would arrange a styled bridal shoot but just concentrate on how the model, flowers, dress, make up and of course the photography will look, a simple shoot with the “Bride” being the main focus.
Filled with lots of ideas, I started planning the shoot! The only problem was the Lavender Fields was due to close to the public just a few days later, so I thought to myself oh well we will do it next year, no way can we pull this off in 4 days! To my surprise Louise, our lovely model Becky and Victoria from Willoughby and Wolf all said “let's do It!” so that’s just what we did!
Paul and I arrived at The Crown of Crucis nr Cirencester which is where the make up was taking place, Becky arrived and with lots of chatter the make up got underway. This was my first shoot as a Make Up Artist and was made even more enjoyable as I was working with familiar faces. Becky has long flowing natural locks so we decided for her hair to be kept down with a simple curl. Once ready we jumped in the car and headed to the Lavender Fields.
Victoria brought a selection of dresses with her, all of which were absolutely beautiful and made it really hard to choose, but we both agreed on a soft, delicate dress. The dress with straps and off the shoulder detail, plus a belt for the waist with beautiful little details. The dress is beautiful as it is but we couldn’t resist teaming it up with a black leather jacket - I mean how cool does this look, and a great tip for those chilly evenings!
The flowers couldn’t have been more perfect if Louise tried, the only thing we wanted was to complement the lavender and not clash, which in a field of pure purple surely is hard to do? Nope! Louise smashed it with a beautiful bouquet and floral crown to match with tones of peach, gold and copper throughout. It suited the dress, the make up and of course the lavender!
The shoot was fantastic. Becky is a great model to work with and took great direction from Paul, the sun shone throughout the shoot and the whole team worked well together. Once all the shots had been taken amongst the lavender we couldn’t resist a photo or two in the wild flowers. Simply gorgeous!
